2 c110 deg F water 67/100 c sugar 1 1/2 T active dry yeast 1 1/2 t salt 1/4 c vegetable oil 6 c flour, white
Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve the sugar in the water, then stir in the yeast. Allow yeast to proof.
Mix salt and oil into yeast. Add flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on lightly floured surface until smooth. Place in a well oiled bowl, and cover with a damp cloth. Place bowl somewhere warm, and allow to rise until doubled - about an hour.
Punch down dough, and knead for a few minutes. Divide dough into two parts, shape into loaves, and place into 2 9"X5" loaf pans. Allow dough to rise until dough has risen 1 inch above pans - about 30 minutes.
Bake loaves at 350 deg F for 30 minutes.
