Ingredients
                
2 stick
1 cup softened butter

3 ea
separated egg

1 c
chocolate chips, semi-sweet

2 c
flour, white

1 t
baking soda

3 T
cocoa powder

2 c
sugar

1 t
vanilla extract

1 c
chopped walnuts

1 t
baking powder

1 c
buttermilk

1 c
powdered sugar


Directions
Preheat oven to 350 deg F.

In a large bowl, beat softened butter, sugar. egg yolks and vanilla until well blended.  Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.  Stir dry ingredients in a separate bowl and blend into first mixture.  Stir in buttermilk.  Fold stiffly beaten egg whites (stiff peaks).  Pour into 2 greased and floured 9"X5" loaf pans.  Bake for 1 hour, or until tests done.  Remove and allow to cool.  Dust top of loaf with powdered sugar.
