1951 - Willys Wagon
One day around 10+ years ago, I was toying around the idea of building a cheap 4WD car for the brutal Chicago winters (back when we still had snow). I stumbled across A Willys wagon in NW Indianapolis for I forget how much. So I drove down and bought it. The thing that had me sold was seeing the Ford 8BA under the hood, a 50% HP increase over the stock 4 cylinder (90HP over 60P ;-)).
So ambition got to me with this one. I was determined to start using my new garage on a project, and this was going to be it. Well, then my son got a car, spun a bearing, and that took over for a few months. I never finished the insulation, getting heat out there, and getting the wiring done, so the jeep went onto the patio. I'm proud to say that the garage did get finished. I have heat, the walls are all insulated, it's actually pretty comfy, have a wide screen TV hooked up the media server, a wi-fi hotspot, and my son built a stand for the mini-fridge and the toaster oven. Since the jeep was already on the patio, we decided on the Fairlane first.
